Homecoming (9/29/2012)

USU Homecoming was such a great day for me. I loved it. Such a fun family day.
We started our day going to the USU parade. Once again Preslee loved the parade and danced to all the music and charmed all the people throwing candy. We went with our friends the Dennings and Preslee and their little two.5 year old had such a great time together. He was such a cute friend. Making sure Preslee got candy too.
We then went home for nap time. I love nap times. That is the get ready time for me, or clean the house time, or craft time.
We then went to a fun tailgate party with the Millers and their family.

Preslee couldn't get enough of the balloons that we had hanging.

Getting some love from Grandma

Kisses from a new friend
There was a little girl and her family seated next to us at the parade and their little doggy loved Preslee and she loved him. She is in LOVE with dogs. She'll go right up to any dog. Which makes me nervous. She doesn't realize that not every dog is going to be as nice and patient as DK. This little doggy was a good boy.

I LOVE this picture. I even printed it and put it on our fridge. I cannot believe how big she is. She is so so beautiful. I just cannot get enough of her.

Going on a walk while we wait for the parade to start.

Homecoming Game
My mom and Rick stayed in Logan after the tailgate party to watch Preslee while we go to the game. We were so so grateful for them. We learned at the first home game that taking a toddler is not good. I hardly even looked at the field and nor did Matt. We were chasing her everywhere.

Coach Andersen had asked the Aggie fans the week before to wear white to the game. He wanted it to be a whiteout.

Matt and I always are posed the same when we get our picture take (arms around each other's shoulders smiling) So we thought we would do some things different.

I totally have him on the belly bump. No contest.

I love my man.

Oh and we won!!!! We played UNLV

Highlights of our family photo shoot today

I don't like my hair in my face but I can't be picky when Preslee is smiling and the D is looking forward.

For some reason Matt was blurry in this picture so I cut him out. I thought it was a good one of Pres and I.

Diaper shot. I love this picture so so much. I wish I had some bloomers on her or something. Oh well.

My sweet little miss

Mommy's helper.

Preslee loves helping Matt and I unload the dishwasher. We will take out the knives then let her help us with the rest of the utensils. She just hands us whatever is in there and we will put them away one by one. I can tell that she just feels so important and always is satisfied with herself when the work is done.

I finally started being able to put Preslee's hair in pigtails. I think it is so cute. I could not get her to smile for the picture. I had a baby Einstein on when I did her hair so she would watch and stay in one place. But when I wanted to take her picture after I could barely get her attention to take a picture.

I could not find my keys one day and THIS is where I found them. She actually plays with them a lot. She sticks them into the crack of the baby gate.

I pulled out some storage bins from under our bed because I was going to do a presentation on my mission and I wanted  get into my mission bin. In the process I got out a bin of the few toys that I had saved for my kids to play with that I had when I was little.
I had a Mattel doll with red hair named Sunny and My sister had a brunet one named Jessica.  They were both in the bin. This is Jessica and Preslee loved her. We brushed her hair and styled it.
I ended up putting her back in storage for another year. Jessica and Sunny are special to Ash and I.... and worth a lot of money (What I found out when I looked up the doll online)..... so I am going to bring them out in a few years when Preslee won't carry them around by the hair and can take better care of them.
Plus. She has some other Dolls that she is playing
with and learning to interact with so I didn't feel bad out putting Jessica back in storage.
Watching Baby Einstein with Preslee and Jessica. I always put one on if I get too tired to chase Preslee around. She always gets really energetic about the time I get really tired. I loved that she was still for a little bit and would just sit and watch instead of climb all over the chair and me.
I like to watch the Baby Einsteins with Preslee. Not because I find them entertaining but because I love to talk to her about what she is seeing and explain things.
Chair Update.
I am almost done. I have really taken my time with this project but its because I have time. All I need to do now is reupholster it and that is what is intimidating to me. I have never done it before. I didn't stain where the fabric is going to be.

Mahogany

I love the grain in the wood. Who knew it was such a Pretty wood.

Collections and Piles

Preslee has really gotten into making piles here and there of her toys and other things that she can find. It really keeps her entertained for hours.
She will gather her collectibles from here and there and strategically place them in her piles. She is very careful as to where she places each item and puts a lot of though into it. Then She will sit by (or on) her pile and  just look at it, making a few adjustments. Once she is satisfied with her collection she will start to move it, one thing at a time, to a new location. She loves doing this. If I cannot find my phone I usually can find it in her latest little pile.
One time Matt and I put Preslee down for a nap while she was working on creating a pile. We call them her 'projects'. And it was as if we were meanest parents in the whole world. She was so hurt and offended that we would do such a thing to her. She got over it fast like she does everything else.
My favorite part of the whole process is her face while adding to her piles. She is so concentrated and so into it. She just goes back and forth and back and forth and just watching her can make you tired.
She loves her collections.I have taken pictures of a few of them.
I was clearing out some of the hangers for pants that I do not use from Preslee's closet and she adopted them as toys for a few days.

She loves anything duck since that is one of her favorite words to say.

Making sure that are all situated just right

Making some adjustments

I was organizing my craft stuff and I later found this in one of her piles.

Hanger collection made it to her bedroom

No pants because by the time I washed my hands after changing her, her pants made it into the collection

Changing the locations

And onto the chair
Even mommom gets to help with piles.

Sitting am midst her project feeling accomplished

And.....

Caught in the act of being a stinker
