What do you get when you put very playful kids together?

This weekend we were blessed to have Matt's brother Russ' family with us. So So fun. Preslee loved having her cousins to play with and Dakota Super loved having little boys to throw the ball for him. They came yesterday morning and Russ went to work with Matt, The kids got immediately to playing.
It was so so hot outside that we decided to play mostly inside. As you can see; this is how much fun was had.... and this is just one of the rooms in my house.  And I just had fun relaxing and chatting with Kim.

After the boys finished up Matt's work we went to the Cache County Fair. It was great... and hot. I love fairs and any summer festivity. I just love all holidays and festivities. And I love having a family and kids to share them with and to make it very special for them.

Coloring the Aggie Bull at the fair.

Preslee is just so special. I can already tell that she is going to be very musically talented but lately she has shown a lot of interest toward art too. She loves to color. She is going to be one all-around gal.

Kim and I wanted to make new wreaths for our doors today. We both tried to think of ideas. I wanted to do an August/ September wreath but really couldn't think of something  about those months other than harvesting veggies and fruit. I didn't want to dive right in to Fall or Halloween stuff either. But then I thought of Aggie football. Matt has been obsessed with it.
They were putting in a new football field this year up at the stadium. New and improved turf. It is supposed to be some of the best stuff money can by. Top stuff. Anyway. There was a live internet feed of the installation of it. It took maybe about a week or so. Matt would get online and just stare at the computer screen and watch the workers install it. BORING. But he loved it.
That is how excited he is about football.
So I came up with this wreath and not to my surprise, Matt is crazy about it.

AGGIE FOOTBALL -clap - clap - clap clap clap!!!!!!!!

Splish Splash

Why do I always update our blog at night. I get so tired by the end of the day that things go blurry and I don't really have much to say because I do not feel whitty or chatty and don't feel like telling stories. Good thing pictures are worth 1,000 words.
Preslee LOVES water. Which is good because it has been so blasted hot this summer that we do water stuff almost everyday.... Which makes it a good thing that she has three swimming suits. She wears those more than her clothes it seems. It has been a wet summer.
Yesterday I had a combined mutual activity that I was in charge of. We went to the aquatic center in Logan. Pres and Matt came to and we really had a blast

After a while we took her out of her floaty and let her just walk around in the water. I hovered over her like a helicopter mom would. Any mom would. Anyway she loved it.
On the drive home I looked back at her and my heart just sank, she looked beyond tired. Poor thing played herself to exhaustion. Lets just say that she took two naps yesterday and I was totally ok with that. I sure miss the 2nd naps.

Today was a slow day for us. Preslee and I really didn't have any errands that needed to be ran. And lets be honest. I usually keep my house really clean and so nothing needed to be cleaned really.
So once again we played outside in the water.
She loves this little pool. We keep it in the garage and whenever Preslee sees it in there she points to it, makes that cute little noise she makes when she is trying to tell me that there is something that she likes, and she gets really excited.

You can see our fantastic new fence in the background.

And of course we need to have our measuring spoons that we pulled out of the drawer outside to swim with us.

Tonight after dad gave Preslee a bath, while I vacuumed, we played a little game of hide-and-go-seek. Preslee gets so over excited when she knows that we are coming after her. I am always afraid that she is going to run straight into a wall or something. She just squirms all over. You can count on it every time that she runs right into my closet and hides in my clothes. I will crawl on the floor and bang my hands down for effect and she squills. Oh it is such a fun game to play with my little miss.

I love and live for my little miss.

We have finally announced that we are having a little baby girl. Some knew but most did not so this is how we did it.
Surprise to all!!!!

I have been dying to get this picture done and have been thinking about announcing a pregnancy like this even before I found out I was pregnant. I thought it turned out alright.
I used a wide angle lens and I am not sure that was the best choice for the picture. It gave it a weird look to it. Or maybe it is just me.

Here are some other pictures that I took of Preslee before our feet photo shoot. She just looked so cute in her little outfit,  her matching shoes, and her hair, that I just had to take advantage of it before she played hard.
"Me being oh so good for the camera."
"But really, this is what I would rather be doing."

And since we need to clear out our guest room for Preslee for a little bedroom shuffle. We decided to take the first step start with the book shelf.
We wanted to put it in our room but it needed a little face lift before it would really look good in here.
Meet Plain Jane

We added a little crown molding

Puttied the sides so it would not show any major cracks

And Vwallah

She fits in our fancy room just great.

We did a lot of fun things to our home today. Some big and some small. I really enjoyed doing it and I know Matt did too. I am glad that we work so well together. I will think it and he will help me create it. I would rather be doing stuff like this than sitting around watching whatever.

Mommy's helper

Now I don't know about other mom's out there but I seriously sweep my floor 3 times a day. So I was not in the least bit surprised that when Preslee got her hands on the broom and the dust pan tonight that she just went to town and tried her best to mimic  what she has seen me do. It was so fun to see. She would push the broom forward and back and do her best to clean up.

Also, I did a little project today during nap time. I like the quick projects like this one:

Baby and Balloons

I am going to get a baby sister!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday (7/31/2012) we found out that we are having another little baby girl. I couldn't be more excited. I have always felt in my heart that this little baby was a girl and that there was another little girl being sent from above. Everyone asked me what I preferred to have and I really didn't care but I feel that deep down I was leaning towards having another girl. I have such a strong bond with my sister that I wanted the same for my Preslee and now my baby girl.
We wanted to do something special for Preslee so we bought her a bundle of pink balloons. She is not old enough to realize what is going on and to understand what a sister is but she fell in love with the balloons. She would not let them out of her sight. She takes them from room to room with her wherever we go. Even today we had to have them with us while we ate breakfast and lunch. I needed to run some errands today and I was afraid that we would need to take them with us. But that was not the case, there was a little separation anxiety when we went out to the car but she survived.
I love Preslee so so so much and everything she does is the most amazing and cutest thing ever. I cannot imagine loving anything as much but I know (or have heard) that with each child your heart expands. I know I will love this next little one just as much.
I remember the feeling that I had when the doctor put Preslee in my arms. I had the feeling that I knew her before and that we were finally reunited. I had such great love for her that only a mom or parent could understand. I would do anything for my little miss. I can't wait to feel it again.

This picture was taken today at lunch. She wouldn't even let the balloons go to eat, Silly girl.

The River and The Little Mess... I mean Miss.

Today was an action packed day for me. And it wasn't even that action packed to all those non preggers out there. Bur for me it was.
I woke up today with an itch to paint something in our house. Not a piece of furniture but a wall. I wanted to change something. I have three very plain bathrooms and our 1/2 bath downstairs in so so u-g-l-y it aint got no alibi. That is how bad it is. Yep I just old schooled it there for a sec. I wanted to do something to my bathrooms but couldn't think of a color that I wanted to do any of them so I decided to glaze my wall in my room. Something that I have been wanting to do for a time too. I have a lot of projects I need to work on before babe #2 gets here. We find out tomorrow what we are having BTY. I will keep you posted. No pun intended.
So I put Preslee down for her first nap, mixed clear glaze with a little black and gold paint, and got to work. Now that last sentence made it sound like a piece of cake. Well it was not. I worked on it for about 3 hours and decided that glazing is not that fun. Especially when I am doing it on my own. Lonesome me. And it was hard to get it to blend right. And I most surely had its problem areas that made me want to quit. Well it didn't, and I did it all within a nap time (granted it was a long nap).
I am happy with how it turned out. I could barely get it to the ceiling so that is the only part that I am not ok with. I'll have Matt do some touch up work.
Whew, that is over with.
THEN, Preslee and I ate... of course... then we went to 3rd Dam to meat up with some of our friends. Preslee seemed fearless of the water which made me a little fearful. I kept close to her and there were a few times that I was glad I did. One time she fell into the water and went under completely. I grabbed her immediately. She didn't seem scared or upset. And she soon went back for more. I was so surprised that she wasn't freezing in the water. I was in there with her and my feet were hurting but it did not seem to bother her in the least bit.

loved throwing rocks

You will notice my large (and getting larger) belly

And the most exhausting part of my day was dinner. I think that I was just drained from all of the scury of the day. Here you can see why:
She is so good at putting things away
Trying on mom's shoes

The best part of the day is when daddad comes home.

Preston is where we Parade

Loved today. Saturdays are usually a day of working around the house and getting projects done. We (as in Matt, I went garage selling) did do some things to Suzanne, Matt's Isuzu truck, who is always needing work done.... Have I mentioned what an eyesore that thing is in front of our nice house??????? I will have to post pictures sometimes and you will agree. I am always teasing Matt that He is not in Beaver anymore and our yards are not parking lot nor a junk yard. He'll catch on.
Anyway back to our lovely Saturday. We went to the Preston Parade today and It was wonderful. Preslee finally caught on to the fact that you are supposed to collect candy. She would run to the candy, get a handful, then see some more, drop whatever candy she had in her hand and run to the other candy.
She is getting so big and is learning so fast. I just love our little girl.
